EROSION

Cinemavixion Review

Ann Lu's "EROSION" plunges into the stagnant waters of suburban ennui and illicit desire, set against the glittering, yet hollow, backdrop of Los Angeles. The film centers on Irene, portrayed with simmering restraint, whose mundane existence—a passionless marriage and a predictable career—is shattered by the arrival of Gabe. Their affair is not merely a transgression but a dangerous game, a temporary theft of other people's lives, offering a fleeting escape from unspoken pasts. The narrative explores the intoxicating, yet ultimately destructive, allure of living on the edge, where the thrill of transgression blurs the lines between fantasy and reality. "EROSION" is a stark examination of longing, the courage to break free from gilded cages, and the inevitable confrontation with one's own truths.
