CLOSED FOR THE SEASON

Cinemavixion Review

Jay Woelfel's 'Closed for the Season' plunges viewers into the disquieting atmosphere of a derelict amusement park, a setting ripe for psychological horror. The film centers on Kristy, a young woman who becomes ensnared within the decaying grounds, only to be haunted by the park's spectral remnants. Woelfel, who also penned the screenplay, crafts a narrative that plays on the uncanny nature of forgotten spaces and the lingering echoes of past experiences. Aimee Brooks delivers a compelling performance as Kristy, navigating the escalating terror with a palpable sense of dread. While the film explores themes of memory and entrapment, its low IMDb rating suggests a divisive reception, yet its unique premise and atmospheric tension offer a chilling, albeit flawed, cinematic journey for those drawn to unconventional horror.
