CLOSE YOUR EYES: CABIN IN THE WOODS

Cinemavixion Review

Dianna Ippolito's "CLOSE YOUR EYES: CABIN IN THE WOODS" plunges viewers into a chilling scenario where a group of strangers seeking shelter from an avian assault find themselves isolated, not just geographically, but existentially. The film masterfully crafts an atmosphere of mounting dread as the cabin becomes a crucible, blurring the lines between external threat and internal breakdown. Jennifer Collins, Chloe Bale, and Lorna Larkin deliver performances that navigate the escalating paranoia and desperation with unsettling conviction. As the characters grapple with their confinement and the terrifying reality of their situation, the narrative probes themes of survival, fractured trust, and the psychological toll of being cut off from the world. It's a tense, claustrophobic experience that effectively uses its isolated setting to explore the fragility of the human psyche under extreme pressure.
