CHRISTMAS IN THE CITY

Cinemavixion Review

"Christmas In The City" offers a heartwarming, albeit familiar, holiday tale centered on Wendy's quest to save her father's candy store. Directed by Marita Grabiak, the film stars Ashley Williams in a role that balances maternal concern with determined optimism. The narrative cleverly uses the commercialization of Christmas within a department store as a backdrop for Wendy's struggle to rekindle the holiday spirit, a theme that resonates deeply. The supporting cast, including Ashanti and Jon Prescott, effectively complement Williams' performance. While the plot follows a predictable path, its earnest execution and focus on the true meaning of the season make it a pleasant watch. The film's IMDb rating of 5.7 suggests a generally positive reception for its comforting holiday message.
