CEMETERY OF LOST SOULS

Cinemavixion Review

Rodrigo Aragão's 'Cemetery of Lost Souls' plunges viewers into a chilling narrative set in colonial Brazil, where a Jesuit's dabbling with forbidden power unleashes a curse of eternal torment. The film masterfully blends historical horror with supernatural elements, depicting a group of souls trapped in a perpetual cycle of suffering beneath a desolate cemetery. Aragão, also credited as writer, crafts a compelling visual descent into darkness, amplified by the performances of Carol Aragão, Renato Chocair, and Diego Garcias. With its roots firmly planted in Brazilian folklore and a visually striking aesthetic, this horror offering explores themes of corruption, damnation, and the enduring struggle against malevolent forces. The film's atmospheric dread and visceral storytelling promise a disturbing yet captivating experience for fans of dark fantasy and supernatural cinema.
