CAGED BIRDS

Cinemavixion Review

Fredrick Leach's 'Caged Birds' plunges into the tense world of suburban high school, where a fateful prank shatters the lives of three Black seniors. Kamil McFadden, Bentley Green, and Christian Menace deliver compelling performances as their characters grapple with a dark secret following a botched attempt at bullying retribution. The narrative masterfully explores the fracturing bonds of friendship and loyalty under the immense pressure of a murder investigation. Leach, who also penned the script, crafts a gripping drama that questions the choices made in desperate circumstances and the consequences that follow. With its strong thematic core and the impressive acting from its young leads, 'Caged Birds' is a thought-provoking film that resonates with its exploration of youthful indiscretion and its far-reaching impact.
