BLOOD BORN

Cinemavixion Review

In "Blood Born," director Reed Shusterman delves into the dark side of parental desire, presenting a chilling narrative about a couple's desperate quest for a child. The film masterfully blurs the lines between hope and horror as Eric and Makayla, unable to conceive, turn to a seemingly benevolent witch doctor, Ola, who orchestrates a series of increasingly disturbing magical rituals. What begins as a promise of a longed-for family soon unravels into a terrifying realization: the child they are expecting may not be human. The story, enriched by the performances of Rosie Moss and Antoine Perry, probes the ethical quandaries of parenthood and the extreme lengths one might go to achieve it. "Blood Born" is a taut psychological thriller that leaves audiences questioning the true cost of their deepest wishes.
