BLACK PUMPKIN

Cinemavixion Review

On a seemingly ordinary Halloween night in 2018, "Black Pumpkin" plunges viewers into a chilling descent into terror. Director Ryan McGonagle crafts a suspenseful narrative centered on two young friends who unearth a generations-old secret, inadvertently unleashing the malevolent entity known as "Bloody Bobby." The film masterfully builds an atmosphere of dread, transforming a quaint small town into a terrifying playground for a relentless game of cat-and-mouse. McGonagle, alongside a promising cast including Ellie Patrikios and Matt Rife, effectively captures the raw fear and resilience of youth facing unimaginable horrors. While it garnered 3 nominations and a 4.3 rating on IMDb, its true strength lies in its gripping storyline and eerie ambiance, making it a compelling watch for fans of supernatural thrillers who appreciate a well-paced, suspenseful narrative.
