BEAUTIFUL VILLAGER 131

Cinemavixion Review

In "Beautiful Villager 131," director Mustafa Şevki Doğan crafts a narrative centered on Gul, a woman seeking solace from a profound depression and a painful separation. Escaping the bustling energy of Istanbul, she finds refuge in the tranquil village of Muğla. Her new life takes an unexpected turn when she encounters Sultan Ana, an elderly woman who mistakes Gul for her granddaughter. The arrival of Gul's former lover, Kaan, further complicates her emotional landscape, as she harbors no desire for reconciliation. Instead, her affections are drawn to Cemal, a local resident. The film explores Gul's transformation as she navigates a new romantic entanglement, shedding her urban identity for the allure of village life and a burgeoning, unexpected love affair.
