ARRESTING THE POLICEMAN-TURNED-NAZI WHO OVERSAW 800,000 DEATHS

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the chilling pursuit of Franz Stangl, the SS commander responsible for the deaths of an estimated 800,000 individuals. The narrative follows the meticulous work of Nazi hunter Simon Wiesenthal, tracing Stangl's escape to Brazil and his eventual arrest. The film highlights the broader efforts to bring war criminals to justice, mentioning the subsequent investigation into Gustav Wagner, a deputy commander at the Sobibor extermination camp. It's a stark reminder of the horrors of the Holocaust and the persistent, often arduous, quest for accountability.
