APOCALYPSE A GO GO

Cinemavixion Review

In 'Apocalypse A-Go-Go,' director Savannah Gisleson crafts a poignant, albeit intimate, drama centered on five strangers united by the impending end of the world. As a solar flare threatens Earth, they gather for an 'Apocalypse Party,' a gathering that becomes a crucible for introspection. The film's strength lies in its exploration of memory and shared vulnerability, as the characters delve into their past lives and secrets, overseen by a mysterious 'Host.' Amidst the chaos and despair of a dying planet, they seek solace and connection at a communal table, turning to drink and shared experience as a means of confronting their final moments. While perhaps not a grand spectacle, Gisleson's film offers a compelling character study, urging viewers to ponder what truly matters when faced with oblivion.
