ANTIDOTE: THE CURE IS THE CURSE

Cinemavixion Review

In a world ravaged by plague, Craig and Pete DiFolco's "ANTIDOTE: THE CURE IS THE CURSE" plunges viewers into a visceral struggle for survival. The narrative centers on a couple confronting unimaginable horrors, a scenario made all the more harrowing when one of them succumbs to the infection. The film masterfully explores the psychological toll of desperation, as the only hope for a cure begins to unravel the infected individual's sanity. Michael Izquierdo and Kate Flanagan deliver performances that are both raw and compelling, anchoring the film's descent into madness. The bleak, post-apocalyptic setting is rendered with a palpable sense of dread, effectively amplifying the central themes of hope, sacrifice, and the terrifying ambiguity of salvation. This is a grim yet captivating exploration of human endurance against overwhelming odds.
