AMERICAN JUSTICE

Cinemavixion Review

Demetrius Navarro's "American Justice" plunges into the gritty underbelly of law enforcement with a familiar yet potent narrative. Tommy "Tiny" Lister Jr. embodies Jack Justice, an LAPD officer whose uncompromising methods lead to suspension, prompting a journey to a Texas border town. There, he confronts a corrupt sheriff, played with a chilling demeanor by John Schneider, and dispenses his own form of uncompromising, lethal justice. The film explores themes of vigilanteism and the blurred lines between right and wrong, set against a stark, morally ambiguous landscape. While the IMDb rating suggests a polarizing reception, the committed performances, particularly from Lister Jr. and Schneider, anchor the story, offering a raw and unvarnished look at justice served outside the system. It's a compelling watch for those drawn to hard-boiled crime dramas with a strong sense of retribution.
