AMERICAN CANNIBAL

Cinemavixion Review

This independent horror offering, 'American Cannibal,' plunges viewers into a harrowing scenario where three young women find their celebratory night derailed by a sinister turn of events. Stranded and desperate, their decision to seek refuge in a secluded residence leads them into the clutches of a cannibalistic threat, a premise that promises visceral thrills. The film, directed by Kelly LaMarr, who also appears in a key role, navigates the familiar tropes of the slasher subgenre with a focus on escalating tension and dread. While the narrative leans into established horror conventions, the performances by Rhiley Hudson and Kasey Renee Komp anchor the escalating terror. 'American Cannibal' delivers a grim and claustrophobic experience, exploring themes of vulnerability and the primal instinct for survival against overwhelming odds. It’s a stark reminder that sometimes, the wrong house is the deadliest choice.
