ALFRED “HOUDINI” HINDS | GREATEST PRISON ESCAPES

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the astonishing true story of Alfred “Houdini” Hinds, a man whose name became synonymous with impossible escapes. Wrongfully convicted, Hinds orchestrated three audacious breakouts from British prisons, each more ingenious than the last, all in his relentless pursuit of justice and clearing his name. The narrative is compellingly guided by Billy Hayes, the subject of the acclaimed film “Midnight Express,” who brings his own harrowing experiences to bear on Hinds’s saga. Through expert interviews and vivid reenactments, the film reconstructs these legendary escapes, offering a gripping account of one man's extraordinary fight against the system and his indelible mark on British history.
