AFTER EFFECT

Cinemavixion Review

David McElroy's "After Effect" plunges viewers into a chilling narrative where a seemingly innocuous paid research study for college students quickly devolves into a sinister ordeal. The film masterfully crafts an atmosphere of escalating dread as the participants realize they have become unwitting subjects in a dangerous military experiment. Daniel Baldwin and a compelling cast, including Tuckie White and Matthew Lucki, deliver performances that underscore the psychological toll and mounting terror of their predicament. While the film may not boast major accolades, its tight pacing and disturbing premise offer a thought-provoking exploration of ethical boundaries and the consequences of unchecked scientific ambition. "After Effect" serves as a stark reminder that some opportunities are too good to be true, leaving a lasting impression with its suspenseful execution and cautionary undertones.
