A STONE IN THE WATER

Cinemavixion Review

Dan Cohen's "A Stone in the Water" plunges viewers into a tense psychological drama, weaving a narrative of desperation and dark secrets. The film masterfully crafts an atmosphere of unease, primarily through the unsettling premise of a reclusive woman's sinister intentions towards a vulnerable, expectant mother. The plot thickens with the introduction of a dangerous external threat, a ruthless killer whose pursuit of the pregnant woman adds a layer of visceral suspense. While the local description highlights the thriller elements, the external data suggests a deeper exploration of long-held secrets and the collision of disparate lives, hinting at a complex character study beneath the surface of the suspense. The film's reception, with a notable Rotten Tomatoes score, suggests a compelling, albeit potentially disturbing, cinematic experience that delves into the darker aspects of human nature.
