A MURDER OF INNOCENCE

Cinemavixion Review

Shawn Justice's "A Murder of Innocence" plunges into the heart of a community shattered by a brutal double homicide. The film masterfully intertwines the official investigation with the personal struggles of faith and fear, particularly through the eyes of Pastor Albert and his wife Aimee. The narrative, based on a true story, captures the unsettling atmosphere that descends upon a town grappling with loss and uncertainty. Rachel MacMillan and Frank Chiesurin deliver nuanced performances, anchoring the emotional core of the film as they navigate the darkness. While the film delves into grim subject matter, it ultimately offers a resonant exploration of resilience and hope, highlighting the power of community and faith in the face of unimaginable tragedy. Its understated approach allows the emotional weight of the events to resonate deeply with the audience.
