A HORSE STORY

Cinemavixion Review

John Rogers' "A Horse Story" offers a charming, if somewhat simplistic, narrative about self-discovery and the bonds we form. The film centers on Monica and her talking horse, Champion, a premise that immediately signals its family-friendly, fantastical leanings. The performances, particularly from Sarah Lieving and Aaron Johnson Araza, ground the fantastical element in relatable emotion. While the plot may tread familiar ground, its gentle exploration of finding one's purpose resonates. Champion's revelation that horses can indeed talk serves as a whimsical catalyst for both his and Monica's journeys, encouraging viewers to consider their own 'true pathways.' With a runtime of 100 minutes, it provides a light, engaging experience suitable for younger audiences and families seeking a heartwarming tale.
