A CRY FROM WITHIN

Cinemavixion Review

Zach Miller and Deborah Twiss's "A Cry From Within" plunges viewers into a harrowing descent into psychological horror, skillfully blurring the lines between grief and the supernatural. The film centers on a New York family seeking solace in the countryside, only to find their new abode haunted by more than just memories. The narrative expertly weaves a tale of a family's vulnerability following a tragic loss, making their subsequent encounters with malevolent forces all the more potent. The direction imbues the film with a palpable sense of dread, while the performances effectively convey the characters' unraveling sanity. While the film may not shy away from its unsettling themes, it offers a compelling exploration of how inner turmoil can manifest in terrifying external ways, making it a notable entry for fans of atmospheric horror.
