A CHILD IS BORN

Cinemavixion Review

This 1955 production offers a unique perspective on a timeless story. "A Child Is Born" shifts the narrative focus from the central figures of the Nativity to the everyday individuals caught in its wake. Through the eyes of the Innkeeper's wife, her husband, and their household staff, the film explores the human element of this profound event, highlighting their duties, anxieties, and perhaps moments of quiet wonder amidst the unfolding miracle. The casting of Ronald Reagan, Nadine Conner, and Robert Middleton in these roles promises a performance grounded in the era's dramatic sensibilities. It's a fascinating approach that invites viewers to consider the Nativity through a more intimate and relatable lens, emphasizing the ordinary lives touched by the extraordinary.
