This drama plunges viewers into the harrowing realities of aerial combat during World War II, centering on a B-17 Flying Fortress crew operating over Sicily in 1943. The narrative hinges on the poignant transition of leadership following the loss of a beloved commander. A young, inexperienced pilot must navigate the complex dynamics of earning the trust and respect of a seasoned, predominantly Irish American crew. The film, reportedly based on actual events, promises a compelling exploration of camaraderie, loss, and the psychological toll of war on those who face it daily.
