200 DEGREES

Cinemavixion Review

Giorgio Serafini's 2017 thriller, "200 Degrees," plunges audiences into a claustrophobic nightmare where Ryan Hinds (Eric Balfour) finds himself trapped in a rapidly heating industrial kiln. With a disembodied voice dictating increasingly perilous challenges, Hinds is pushed to his absolute physical and psychological limits. The film excels in its visceral portrayal of endurance, creating a palpable sense of rising dread as the temperature climbs. While the narrative relies on a familiar 'man vs. environment' premise, the execution is taut and effective, making it a compelling watch for fans of high-stakes survival thrillers. The limited cast and confined setting amplify the intensity, ensuring that every moment counts in this desperate fight for survival.
