ZOOMBIES

Cinemavixion Review

Glenn Miller's "Zoombies" plunges viewers into a chaotic scenario at the Eden Wildlife Zoo, where a mysterious infection transforms its inhabitants into ravenous undead predators. The film, released in 2016, follows a group of college students caught in the crossfire as a deadly contagion spreads from an infected monkey to other animals, and potentially, to humans. With a runtime of 87 minutes, "Zoombies" leans into its creature-feature premise, presenting a struggle for survival against a backdrop of escalating pandemonium. While the film may not boast critical accolades, its B-movie charm and relentless pace offer a diverting, albeit gruesome, take on the zombie apocalypse genre, set against the unusual locale of a wildlife sanctuary. It's a film that embraces its pulpy roots, delivering a straightforward, action-packed narrative for fans of the genre.
