ZOOMBIES

Cinemavixion Review

In "Zoombies," director Glenn Miller unleashes a primal, yet familiar, horror premise: a safari park where a viral outbreak transforms its animal inhabitants into ravenous undead. The film, released in 2016, plunges viewers into a desperate fight for survival as a group of interns and staff are trapped within the zoo's confines. While the concept leans into B-movie territory, the execution offers a unique twist by featuring a menagerie of zombified creatures, from primates to large predators. Ione Butler, Andrew Asper, and LaLa Nestor anchor the narrative with performances that navigate the escalating chaos. "Zoombies" taps into classic zombie tropes while presenting them in an unconventional, animalistic form, making for a creature-feature that delivers on its gory, high-concept promise.
