ZOMBIE HOOD

Cinemavixion Review

Steve Best's "Zombie Hood" plunges viewers into the grim reality of a post-apocalyptic Britain, offering a survivalist narrative with a distinctly British flavor. The film chronicles the harrowing journey of a disparate group of survivors attempting to navigate the treacherous remnants of society in the wake of a devastating zombie outbreak. Drawing parallels to the legendary outlaw of Sherwood Forest, the protagonists seek sanctuary in the countryside, only to discover that the undead are not the only threat. Internal strife and dwindling resources quickly become as perilous as the external danger. The performances, particularly from Edward Nudd, Jade Blocksidge, and Tom Murton, anchor the film's desperate atmosphere. While the IMDb rating suggests a niche appeal, "Zombie Hood" provides a compelling, albeit bleak, exploration of human nature under extreme duress, making it a noteworthy entry in the independent zombie genre.
