ZANE GREY: WEST OF THE PECOS

Cinemavixion Review

Edward Killy's "Zane Grey: West of the Pecos" plunges viewers into the unforgiving landscapes of the American West, offering a classic tale of survival and conflict. The narrative follows Rill Lambeth and her father as they find themselves lost and rescued by the enigmatic Pecos and his companion Chito. Their entanglement with Pecos draws them into a dangerous feud, particularly after Pecos's fatal encounter with Sawtelle's brother, setting him against the formidable vigilante leader. The film, released in 1945, features a cast including Robert Mitchum, Barbara Hale, and Richard Martin, who bring to life the rugged spirit and moral ambiguities of the era. It's a journey into a land where justice is often self-administered and loyalties are tested amidst the vast, silent beauty of the desert.
