YOGA HOSERS

Cinemavixion Review

Kevin Smith's "Yoga Hosers" is a peculiar cinematic offering that plunges viewers into a world where teenage ennui meets ancient evil. Starring Lily-Rose Depp and Harley Quinn Smith as the titular Colleen duo, the film chronicles their unlikely journey from aspiring yogis obsessed with their phones to accidental heroes battling a subterranean menace. Set against the backdrop of Winnipeg, the plot, while unique, leans heavily into Smith's signature blend of quirky dialogue and pop culture references. Despite a star-studded cast including Johnny Depp and Adam Brody, the film garnered a lukewarm reception, reflected in its critical scores. While it aims for a comedic horror vibe, the execution often feels uneven, leaving audiences divided. "Yoga Hosers" is best approached as a cult film, appreciated for its audacious concept and idiosyncratic style rather than conventional storytelling.
