W.W.J.R.

Cinemavixion Review

Stevie Fernandez's 2022 faith-based comedy, "W.W.J.R.", presents a unique premise: Jesus Christ returns to contemporary Earth and partners with Laz Young, a down-on-his-luck social media consultant in Tulsa. The film explores themes of faith, doubt, and destiny as Laz, grappling with personal insecurities stemming from a recent breakup, endeavors to create a revolutionary online platform called Faith Book Friends.com. With divine assistance, Laz seeks to revive his childhood church and foster a global community of believers. Starring Zoltan Kaszas, J. Tate Silver, and Mark Sherwood, the movie aims to blend humor with spiritual encouragement, posing the question of whether Laz can overcome his own uncertainties to fulfill his potential and bring believers together in the digital age. While details on awards and critical reception are scarce, the film's concept offers a modern, lighthearted take on spiritual outreach and personal growth.
