WW2 CHICAGO: THE CITY THAT FUELED THE US WAR MACHINE

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary plunges into the often-overlooked role of Chicago during World War II, presenting it not just as a backdrop, but as a crucial engine for the Allied victory. The narrative skillfully weaves together the city's immense industrial capacity—factories transforming into arsenals—with its pioneering scientific endeavors, notably the atomic research conducted at the University of Chicago. It highlights how innovation and sheer production power, driven from the heart of the Midwest, were instrumental in supplying the war effort and ultimately shaping the conflict's outcome. A compelling look at a city's vital contribution to a global struggle.
