Cinemavixion Review

IT'S NOT A DATE plunges into the dark comedy genre with a tale of romantic misadventure that spirals into madness. The film centers on Carly Sagat, a young nurse whose quest for the ideal partner takes a sharp turn when she meets Milo. Initially appearing perfect, Milo soon reveals a darker side, quickly earning the title of Carly's 'worst date ever.' Pushed to her limit, Carly's frustration morphs into a disturbing plan: she kidnaps Milo and subjects him to a series of bizarre humiliations. As her dysfunctional family and friends get drawn into her escalating calamity, Carly attempts to rectify her mistakes and escape the consequences of her disastrous encounter. The narrative explores the deceptive nature of dreams and the often harsh realities that follow when they are shattered, with unintended and extreme consequences. Fans of darkly humorous films like "The War of the Roses" may find themselves captivated by the film's twisted humor and unpredictable plot developments.
