WOODSTOCK OR BUST

Cinemavixion Review

Embarking on a cross-country pilgrimage in a vintage Mustang, "Woodstock or Bust" captures the hopeful spirit of two young songwriters chasing a dream at the iconic 1969 festival. The film, released in 2018 and directed by Leslie Bloom, features a compelling performance from Willow Shields as she navigates the challenges of artistic ambition and the open road. While the narrative centers on their quest to perform at Yasgur's farm, it also subtly explores themes of youthful idealism and the search for belonging. The chemistry between the lead actors grounds the journey, making their pursuit of musical destiny feel both personal and universal. This road movie offers a nostalgic glimpse into a pivotal cultural moment, seen through the eyes of aspiring artists eager to make their mark.
