WOMEN IN THE RING: THE FIGHT FOR EQUALITY IN BOXING

Cinemavixion Review

Jill Morley invites audiences into the raw and often emotionally charged world of female boxing in "Women in the Ring: The Fight for Equality in Boxing." This documentary transcends the typical sports narrative, offering a profound look at the personal journeys of its subjects. Morley, who also features prominently, guides viewers through intimate accounts of struggle, resilience, and the relentless pursuit of equality within a sport historically dominated by men. The film masterfully unearths the deep-seated emotional histories and traumas that shape these athletes, presenting a compelling tapestry of women overcoming profound adversity. It's a powerful testament to the strength and spirit found both inside and outside the ring, making for an engrossing and thought-provoking viewing experience.
