WITCH TRIALS

Cinemavixion Review

This found-footage horror film plunges viewers into the unsettling folklore of Connecticut's haunted woods. "Witch Trials" follows two filmmakers and a former police officer as they delve into the mysterious disappearance of a young girl, a case steeped in local legend of a witch's abduction. The narrative skillfully blends investigative procedural with supernatural dread, creating an atmosphere of palpable tension. While the premise echoes familiar tropes, the execution, particularly the commitment of the cast including Caite Basdeo, Christopher Casillas, and Lisabeth DeLucia, lends an unsettling authenticity to the unfolding mystery. The film probes themes of belief, superstition, and the darkness that can lurk beneath the surface of seemingly ordinary places, making it a compelling watch for fans of atmospheric horror.
