WISH MAN

Cinemavixion Review

Based on a remarkable true story, "Wish Man" offers a poignant narrative about the profound impact one individual can have on the lives of others. Director Theo Davies masterfully brings to life the journey of Frank Shankwitz, a motorcycle cop whose life takes an unexpected turn after a near-fatal accident. The film's strength lies in its portrayal of the unlikely friendship forged between Shankwitz and a terminally ill boy, Michael, whose dying wish ignites a spark that would ultimately lead to the creation of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Andrew Steel delivers a compelling performance as Shankwitz, navigating the character's complex past and his eventual transformation. Supported by a capable cast, including Kirby Bliss Blanton and Bruce Davison, the film transcends its genre, offering a moving testament to hope, compassion, and the enduring power of a single wish.
