WINTER RIDGE

Cinemavixion Review

Dom Lenoir's 'Winter Ridge' plunges viewers into a dark, psychological thriller that masterfully intertwines a detective's personal tragedy with his professional pursuit. The film excels in its portrayal of a man unraveling as his wife slips into a coma, a consequence of the very case he's desperately trying to solve: the hunt for a relentless serial killer. Hannah Waddingham and Matt Hookings deliver compelling performances, grounding the narrative in raw emotional turmoil. While the film grapples with grim subject matter, its exploration of guilt, obsession, and the blurred lines between duty and personal life is profoundly affecting. The atmospheric direction and tense pacing ensure that 'Winter Ridge' remains a gripping and thought-provoking cinematic experience, even as it delves into the darkest corners of the human psyche.
