WILD AMERICA: WHITEBARK

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the fascinating symbiotic relationship between the Whitebark pine and the Clark's Nutcracker. The Whitebark pine, unique in its windless seed dispersal, relies entirely on the industrious nutcracker for propagation. The bird's habit of burying seeds ensures not only the pine's survival but also provides a crucial food source for a diverse range of wildlife, including squirrels and grizzly bears. Narrated by Marty Stouffer, this film offers a compelling look at the intricate web of life in the evergreen ecosystem.
