WILD AMERICA: PRETTY AS A QUAIL

Cinemavixion Review

This short documentary, "WILD AMERICA: PRETTY AS A QUAIL," from director Marty Stouffer, offers a charming glimpse into the world of the Bobwhite Quail. The film highlights the bird's delicate beauty, noting its soft plumage and watchful eyes, which have apparently inspired Southern endearments. It also touches upon the broader Quail family, mentioning species like the Gambel's, California, Montezuma, and Scaled Quail. Stouffer's work emphasizes the intelligence and adaptability of these birds, whether observed individually or within their social groups, portraying them as creatures as resourceful as they are visually appealing. While brief, the documentary serves as a pleasant introduction to these fascinating birds of the southeastern United States.
