WILD AMERICA: MARMOT MOUNTAIN

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary, "WILD AMERICA: MARMOT MOUNTAIN," invites viewers into the vibrant springtime of the Rocky Mountains. It chronicles the awakening of a Yellow-bellied Marmot colony from their winter slumber. As the season unfolds, these gregarious creatures, often called "Rock-chucks," are depicted teaching their young the intricacies of communal living. A particularly dramatic element of their education involves the urgent lesson of seeking shelter when a sentry marmot's whistle signals the ominous presence of a Golden Eagle, their most formidable predator, circling above. Narrated by Marty Stouffer, the film highlights the social dynamics and survival instincts of these fascinating rodents.
