WILD AMERICA: FAMILY FEUD

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary, "Wild America: Family Feud," directed by Marty Stouffer, delves into the often-overlooked phenomenon of interspecies and intraspecies conflict within the animal kingdom. Released in 1985, the film posits that rather than a serene natural world, animals engage in fierce rivalries for resources such as food and territory, and even for social standing. Stouffer highlights a compelling, albeit ironic, observation: related species often exhibit more intense competition than unrelated ones. The narrative suggests that these 'family feuds' can have dire consequences, and victory in these struggles isn't always determined by sheer size or brute strength, adding a layer of complexity to our understanding of animal behavior.
