WHY WAS JACK THE RIPPER NEVER FOUND? | MURDER MAPS

Cinemavixion Review

This "Murder Maps" installment delves into the enduring enigma of Jack the Ripper, compellingly arguing that the popular narrative has been significantly distorted by the sensationalist press of 1888. The documentary commendably shifts focus from the perpetrator to the victims, presenting their true lives rather than reducing them to mere statistics in a gruesome tale. Featuring insights from respected Ripper expert Donald Rumbelow and Hallie Rubenhold, author of the acclaimed "The Five," this program offers a fresh perspective on the Whitechapel murders. It meticulously strips away layers of myth and speculation, providing a more nuanced and humanized account of the tragic events and the individuals affected.
