WHO REALLY WERE THE GAULS?

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary challenges outdated perceptions of the Gauls, presenting them not as primitive forest dwellers awaiting Roman civilization, but as a sophisticated society in their own right. The narrative skillfully dismantles the myth of passive assimilation, revealing a people with advanced craftsmanship, thriving trade networks, established cities, and a distinct cultural and religious identity. It highlights their significant contributions to the European landscape, urging a re-evaluation of their legacy. The film's exploration of Gaulish ingenuity and societal complexity offers a compelling counterpoint to traditional historical narratives, enriching our understanding of ancient European history and the true impact of this vibrant civilization.
