WHISPER

Cinemavixion Review

Christopher Jolley's "WHISPER" plunges viewers into the unsettling isolation of the English countryside, where a young nurse's vigil takes a terrifying turn. The film masterfully builds suspense as the protagonist, portrayed with commendable vulnerability, finds herself increasingly menaced by an unseen force tied to her patient. Jolley skillfully employs atmosphere and a creeping dread, making the remote setting a character in itself. While the narrative draws on familiar horror tropes, the execution is notably effective, particularly in its exploration of psychological terror. The performances, especially from the central cast, anchor the escalating fear, ensuring that the audience remains invested in the nurse's harrowing experience. "WHISPER" offers a chilling, atmospheric descent into the unknown, proving itself a compelling watch for fans of slow-burn supernatural thrillers.
