WHERE THE DEVIL DWELLS

Cinemavixion Review

Marc-Andre Samson's 'Where the Devil Dwells' plunges viewers into a chilling psychological thriller, set against the unsettling backdrop of 1989. The film masterfully explores the fractured psyche of a schizophrenic man, whose house arrest becomes a battleground against his own mind when the specter of his serial-killing father returns. Walter Peña delivers a compelling performance as the tormented protagonist, navigating a reality that blurs the lines between delusion and supernatural threat. The narrative grapples with profound questions of identity and survival, forcing the audience to question what is real alongside the central character. While the film may not boast mainstream accolades, its tight direction and suspenseful atmosphere create a genuinely unnerving experience, making it a noteworthy entry for fans of dark, introspective horror.
