WHEN AN ARTIST BECOMES A LANDSCAPER | DREAM GARDENS! | LUXURY LIVING

Cinemavixion Review

This episode of "Dream Gardens!" delves into the ambitious transformation of a neglected property in Victoria's Mount Eliza, guided by artist Meredith Gaston and her husband Kevin Lindemann. Faced with a challenging 40-year-old garden, riddled with weeds and diseased trees, the couple envisions a modern Australian landscape that merges their distinct aesthetic preferences. Gaston dreams of flowing grasses and wildflowers, while Lindemann leans towards bold, architectural succulents. The narrative highlights the tension between their desires and a constrained budget, further complicated by the unexpected necessity of removing more trees than initially planned. The episode masterfully explores the courage required to strip back the old, excavate the new, and ultimately forge a contemporary garden that reflects their shared vision amidst practical limitations. It's a compelling look at the creative process and the resilience needed to overcome horticultural hurdles.
