"When a Man Rides Alone," a product of 1933, emerges from the classic Western era with a narrative that champions a Robin Hood-esque figure. Directed by J.P. McGowan, the film stars Tom Tyler as the Llano Kid, a charismatic outlaw whose targets are exclusively the ill-gotten gains of Montana Slade. Tyler is joined by Adele Lacy and Al Bridge, forming a cast that effectively embodies the archetypes of the genre. The plot unfolds with the Kid redistributing wealth stolen from Slade to those he has wronged, setting up a classic conflict with the law.
