WHAT WAS NORMAL LIFE LIKE IN ANCIENT ROME?

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary offers a compelling glimpse into the daily realities of ancient Rome, a civilization whose legacy is inextricably linked to its formidable military might. The narrative effectively highlights how the city's immense population and the opulent lifestyles enjoyed by its citizens were direct consequences of imperial expansion and the strategic deployment of its legions. It posits that the grandeur of Rome, a metropolis that once housed over a million souls, was built upon the systematic exploitation of its colonies, a feat unimaginable without the unwavering support of its armed forces. The film serves as a valuable educational resource, prompting viewers to consider the complex interplay between military power, economic prosperity, and the social fabric of one of history's most influential empires.
