WHAT REMAINS

Cinemavixion Review

This psychological thriller, 'What Remains,' delves into the murky depths of a Scandinavian psychiatric hospital. The narrative centers on Mads, a multiple murderer, his therapist Anna, and policeman Soren, as they navigate a complex web of truth-seeking and escalating co-dependency. The film masterfully explores the blurred lines between captor and captive, healer and patient, as their shared confinement breeds an intense, potentially destructive, bond. The performances are crucial in portraying the nuanced psychological shifts, making for a compelling, albeit dark, exploration of human connection under duress.
