WHAT LIES WITHIN

Cinemavixion Review

This intriguing narrative plunges into the psyche of a Detroit detective grappling with unsettling premonitions and a gnawing sense of absence. The protagonist, Karoline Kane, finds herself ensnared in a web of missing persons cases that mirror her own fragmented internal world. Her dreams are plagued by a phantom lover and violent acts she hasn't committed, suggesting a deeper, perhaps psychological, mystery at play. The film masterfully blends elements of crime thriller with a deeply personal psychological exploration, leaving the audience to question the nature of reality and memory alongside Kane. The sparse details provided only deepen the enigma, inviting viewers to piece together the fragmented clues and uncover what truly lies within.
