WHAT FORENSICS REVEALS ABOUT THE VIOLENT LIVES OF PERU'S MUMMIES

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the fascinating, often brutal, history embedded within the mummified remains of ancient Peru. The Mummy Research Team at the University of York undertakes a meticulous examination of a Peruvian mummy, an artifact that had been concealed in a London storage facility. The investigation is driven by a compelling enigma: the mummy's unusual cross-legged posture. Through forensic analysis, the film seeks to unravel the circumstances surrounding its preservation and, more profoundly, to illuminate the violent lives of the individuals it once represented. It's a journey that bridges archaeology, forensic science, and history, offering a unique glimpse into a civilization's past through the silent testimony of its dead.
